Ramadan has a way of softening hearts. And at ICC Tempe, our Iftar Gathering was a beautiful reminder of why community matters so much during this sacred month.
As the sun slowly dipped below the horizon, families began arriving parents holding their children’s hands, students coming straight from campus, elders greeting familiar faces with warm smiles. The masjid felt alive. There was a calm excitement in the air that peaceful silence right before Maghrib, when everyone is making quiet duʿa, waiting to break their fast.
When the adhan was called, we broke our fast together dates in hand, water passing from one person to another. In that moment, nothing else mattered. Different backgrounds, different ages, different stories but one faith, one purpose, one community.
